Angel Blessings is a small volunteer charity in Broxton, Georgia. Every Christmas we set up a Giving Tree so local families wake up to gifts under their own tree, and every summer we buy school supplies for children heading back to class. No offices and no overhead, just neighbors, churches and businesses looking after Coffee County.
Families register in October. At the end of November the tree goes up, hung with numbered tags, each one a child's wish list. Take a tag, shop for it, drop the gifts off, and come see them handed out the week before Christmas.
How the Giving Tree works →
This one runs on dollars. Give what you can, and our volunteers do the shopping, buying in bulk so every dollar stretches. Families collect a full set of supplies at the pick-up location before the first day of school.
How the drive works →My kids had presents to open that year because somebody in this town took a tag off a tree with their name on it. I've taken a tag every year since.
Take a tag off the tree, shop for one child by age and size, then drop the unwrapped gifts off with the tag number attached.
How it worksA card donation or a check funds the Back to School Drive. We buy in bulk, so a small gift goes further than you would think.
Where to giveBusinesses and churches keep a box by the door through the season. We bring it and we collect it, so it costs you nothing but the floor space.
